My dearest Lady Thompson,
As I am able to write myself I can only send you a few words telling you my warmest thanks for your kind writing on my birthday. I was very pleased with your dear letter by which you showed me again the warm interest you take in my pupils. |2|
I found Adeline better looking and hope she will not again be inter-rupted in her studies. From her I heard that you have been in good spi-rits this summer of which I am very glad. Take, dear Lady Thompson, my kindest regards for you and your family, also from Marie, and believe me ever and forever
